Problem with Connection, Please help

Hey There     Well, the problem I have right now is that my new laptop (Inspiron 9100) is unable to connect using the Wireless networking card I have (DellÂ® Wireless 1450 Internal Wireless (802.11a/b/g, 54Mbps)).          But This is what happened: When I first received my computer and as soon as I turned it on, my internect connected automatically without me doing anything. It was working perfectly for a few days then my friend thought it would be a good idea to put Windows XP Professional on my computer (without asking) when I had the XP Home Edition on there. After he did that, my internet connection, on top of other things, didnt work. I called Dell and they walked me through putting back the XP Home edition. I did that, and i installed all the drivers and everything else that i was supposed to extract from the Application CDs. The lady from dell support told me that my computer should be fine and my internet will work once the drivers were installed. Well my internet will not work at all, and I have called dell and spoke with 2 other people and went through basic things on my computer to check what may be wrong. Last call I was supposed to be transfered but it didnt go through.
