You said that you have an excellent connection, then you said that it didn't detect a netowrk. You're contradicting yoruself. What network do you have an excellent connection to? Is it yours?
when i go into the area where it says choose your wireless network, i choose the one for the router that is at my apartment. then i put in the key code and it says that it is trying to connect, but it never does.
Are you absolutely, 100%, postively sure that you entering the correct key? It sounds like you are not. If you are uncertain, temporarily disable the wireless security and see if you can connect. If you can, then you now know for sure that the problem was with the key.
hey guys, i just want to say thanks for your help. i figured out what the problem was. under the option of network cards, it kept saying open and i changed it to shared and it worked.
