I have been connecting without any problem for over a month to my roommate's network, broadcasted via an Apple airport. I have an Inspiron E1505 with Intel PROSet 3945. The other day, for no reason, the connection was broken. Upon trying to reconnect, I received the message "Warning: CTA Plug-In not installed". Windows connected to the network, but with "limited or no connectivity". The Apple computer was not on at the time, so nothing was adjusted to the airport at that time. I have done the following: Restarted the laptop. Turned off the cable modem and router, then restart after several minutes. Shut down the laptop and restart. Installed latest Intel 3945 Driver from Dell. Turned off Power Management option, so the laptop will not turn off the card. I have been able to pick up and connect to other signals in the building. So it is a specific problem with this Apple airport, which apparently has other people. But I don't see why the connection would stop working randomly. I've also seen that the Intel 3945 cards sometimes do this randomly. I'd greatly appreciate any help.
Since, your trying to connect your PC laptop to an Apple product, this sounds like you may find your best answer at their support site. You might try going to their site and downloading/installing a program called "Bonjour for Windows" onto your PC laptop. This may help facilitate your connection to the Airport.
