Problem with Mike

Hi there,
I have a Latitude D505 laptop.
1. First thing could any one pls tell whether this model has INBUILT mike like in D600 model.
2. When I try to connect thru net to have a voice chat(using an external mike)my mike doesnt work. Other party connected on the chat cant hear my voice. But I could hear them clearly. The work around solution is I hv to reboot it. Most of the time it works.
But every time rebooting is a problem.
3. And also one more scenario where this mike doesnt work is ...If i am using Winamp and I try to connect to voice chat then also I face tha same problem.
Could anyone pls through some light on this. Any help is appreciated.
thnx

If it does, I owuld suspect it is of very poor quality.  You might want to consider investing in one of those headsets with a built in mike.

No Its not b'cos of headset, I hv tried many headsets but the same problem persists. If It was Headset problem how does the same piece works after rebootingn the system.

I am not sure about the techincal details...but my guess is when i play Winamp it occupies some resources... which it wont release even after exiting winamp. I dont know the reason exactly.

Programs such as those usually stay active in the System Tray due to they are allowed to StartUp when the machine boots up.  Remove it from the Start Up menu and see if the issue remains.
