Can you link me to an example then? I've Yahoo'ed and Google'ed this for the past 5-6 hours and have not found a solution or even anything remotely mirroring my problem?

looking around on the web it appears that you are not alone and this is a common problem with the card. Try googleing it and you will see what i mean

OK, here goes. I have an Inspiron 6400, for 2 years have never had a problem with any connections either via wireless or on ethernet. Recently, I purchased a Dell bluetooth card, its fits nice and snug in a compartment next to the battery, said card arrived, I installed with no problems at all, initialised connections and voila, another connection for my use, however, since said card was installed I started to suffer eronous wireless connection problems, i.e: connection failure while browsing, total connection failure, and various other little quirks and glitches all to do with the wireless side of things. Eventually it all escalated to the degree whereby the computer would not even see the a wireless connection, but at all times there were no indications of any hardware of software problems to report. Over the last 3 days I have tried everything possible to solve the problem and at all stages was frustrated with a null return and yet still nothing showing a problem. Having eliminated everything, even buying a new wireless card and installing it, it then became a process of elimination, starting from the last hardware item I installed and backwards until I was going to bin the thing and start again, the first item removed was a certain bluetooth card, and what do you know. On switching the thing on Yereeka, a connection, solid strong with no problems. Now, I consider myself at being fairly good at diagnosing both hardware and software problems but this one has miffed me. The bluetooth card is now on route to the nearest recycling centre by way of some waste disposal technicians (binmen), and my Inspiron is now back to life. So, if you have a bluetooth wireless card installed as part of the computer and you can gain access to it, well far be it from me to suggest such a nastiness as pulling the thing but a famous motto says "if you don't try, you don't get". I will leave up to you to decide and if there is anyone out there who could perhaps look at this problem then I am open to suggestions, perhaps some sort of IRQ or addressing issue, whatever I don't care, the problem is solved now. I hope this helps and my sympathies to all that are suffering the same problem.
