changes will not automaticly be updated. you will more or less have to copy the changed files from one system to another. Just because the program is on both systems doesn't mean the files will autoupdate on each system.

If the Legacy Program's data files are stored in any subfolder under the Programs folder, then Windows will not allow access.  The solution is to change the location of the data files to a folder outside the Programs folder.  The easiest would be the Shared Documents folder.
