problems accessing a site
Sorry if i have posted this in the wrong board.
I seem to be having problems accessing a certain site. I have spoke to my ISP about it and they say it has nothing to do with them and it must be my computer. I am 99.9% certain it is them but i would like to check before i go back to them.
I have checked all the common problems it could be, Ie: firewall, stale cookies, blocked site etc but all seem to be fine.
Is there anything else that could be causing it? I also have recently reformated but didnt solve the problem.
Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks

You might get some help if you posted the URL of the site that you cannot get to. Have you checked to see if the site is in your restricted sites list in Internet Explorer? Have you checked to see if it is listed in your hosts file?

Have you been able to enter this site before. It uses shockwave, so have you installed the flash player? Are your security settings in Internet Explorer set to their default level? Have you tried clearing your temporary internet files?

It appears that you can access the site, but you cannot log on to the site. Is that correct? It would have been helpful to know this from the beginning, as everything I have suggested assumed that you couldn't even get to the site. Have you tried adjusting your cookie settings in internet explorer? Have you tried a different web browser?
