I had the same problem last night. Ended up unistalling the Program through Control Panel. Rebooted and reinstalled it from my Dimension Resource CD, that fixed it.
Thanks for all the replies. I looked over my services and found 3 that were disabled: WLANKEEPER, EVTENG, and Spectrum24 Event Monitor. Once I enabled them and rebooted everything worked fine.
Just fyi but dell rarely offers the newest drivers (and when they do there's a large lag time). You might want to get the package directly from
www.intel.com -- this was very important in the past when dell was offering the more buggy flavors of the version 9 drivers
