Problems with Connecting Devices to my Wireless Network
Hi, I am having problems with my Wireless Network.
1.) First, I can't connect my Dell Inspiron 531 and my Dell Inspiron 1525 to share files together. Both running Vista Home Premium. Anyone know why I can't get them to connect?
2.) I have two printers connected to my network. I have a Dell AIO 926 connected with USB to my 531 and a Dell AIO 924 connected to an aother PC with XP. I then had my laptop connected to all the printers. Was working yesterday but today I can't print to any of them from any computer. Keep getting an error when I print. Anyway I can reset my network?
Thank You

Do all computes still have an internet connection, or is it just the local connection that doesn't work?
You can reset the network by turning everything off, waiting a few minutes then powering on the modem, router, and computers in that order.
If that doesn't fix it, make sure that all firewalls are configured to allow local network access.
IF that doesn't fix it, try booting the computers to Safe Mode with Network Support and see the problem goes away. If it does, you know that something running from Startup in Normal mode is causing the problem.

I was able to get my other PC to print to my 531 desktop. I can get my 1525 to get to print to my 531 printer. But on both computers 531 & 1525 I can not get them to print to my 924 printer on the other PC. It ends up printing it at the Inspirons 531 printer when it was sent to my Dell 924 printer. I was able to get my computers to file share but the printing still does not work.
What would stop the printers to be not connecting? Checked Firewall and my Norton 360 is managing it.
Thank You for any replies

Your message may make sense to you because you are familiar with which computer is connected to which printer, but it makes no sense to me as sometimes you use the printer model number and sometimes use the computer model to refer to a printer. Perhaps you can try to explain this more understandably. Right now I have no idea how many printers you have, and how they are connected, but it does sound like one of the printers is not set up as a network printer.

Sorry for the confuesing message.
This is my problem,
I have a Dell AIO 924 printer connected to Dell Dim. E310 running XP. I also have a Dell AIO 926 printer connected to my Dell Inspiron 531 running Vista Home Premium. I have these to desktops on different floors of my home.
I have these two computers connected to the same wireless network, and I am able to get the Dell Dim. E310 to print to my Dell 531 printer wirelessly. Now I want my Dell Inspiron 531 to print to my Dell Dim. E310 printer and instead of printing to it it still prints to the printer connected to my Dell Inspiron 531.
I also have a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop with Vista and it prints wirelessly to my Dell Inspiron 531 printer but it will not print to the Dell Dim. E310 Printer. If I select the Dell Dim. E310 printer it ends up printing when not told to, to my Dell Inspiron 531.
It's hard to explain. The bottom line is when ever I want something to print to my Dell Dim. E310 desktop it prints to my Dell Inspiron 531 printer instead.
Hope I explianed it alittle better.

On the computer that does not print to the correct printer, try uninstalling all printers, then reinstalling them, making sure that they are installed as network printers.
