Problems with Lan and wireless connections
Hello,
About two weeks after I purchased my inspiron the Lan connection device wouldn't work. No matter what router or network connection I tried it still showed "cable unplugged." Fortunately the wireless option still worked and I used that till now. Now my wireless connection dissappear. I talke with dell support online for an hour and was told to reinstall windows. Well, I don't have a windows disk and can't figure out how to get or make one. Anyway, I changed widows wireless so it is controlled by the Intell 2200BG software and not windows and the wireless connection came back.
How can I get the windows software to work again on wireless and how can I get the hard LAN connection working. I ran WINSOCKFIX.exe as instructed and it didn't do anything.
Last, but not least, how do I reinstall windows without the disk if I find I need to? And if I need the disk where can I get it. I am a registered and bonified Dell customer...
Thanks...

Thank you for the link. I couldn't figure out how to order the windows disks directly so I had to chat with a respresentative who said they will send them. I hope they do. I hope I can fix the system before I have to resort to that...
Thanks...
