problems with wireless connectivity for inspiron 6000

My laptop will no long detect a wireless network. In the past I was able to connect but no longer can. Please help me with this problem.

I do not have the Inspiron 6000. Some notebook computers with wireless can turn the radio transmitter off and on, something like Ctrl and F5 (check your own help / documentation).
