Problems with wireless network adapter

Question

Hey there,  Yesterday I was having problems with my internet connectivity (it would repeatedly connect, then disconnect), so I looked online for solutions and read somewhere that it would be a good idea to delete my network adapter in the device manager, and that they should reinstall upon reboot. The problem is that it never reinstalled so I have been unable to conect to internet ever since. I have a CD that came with my laptop (Dell Inspiron N5110) which says 'Devices and Utilities Already Installed on Your Computer' yet I am unable to figure out how to reinstall the device. I have tried System Restore on Safe Mode and Regular Mode and I am each time given the message  'System Restore failed to extract the file (C:/) from the restore point. An unspecified error occured during System Restore. (0x8000ffff)' I would really just like to know how I can have my wireless network adapter reinstalled so that I can have the internet running again.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

goto http://support.dell.com enter your Service Tag and download the wifi driver

I cannot access that website on my laptop because I can't get onto the internet without the adapter

I'm using my cellphone. Okay so if I can download the driver from the dell site onto a USB flash drive and then transfer it, it should work?
