Have you tried using the drivers rollback feature of Windows?

No , have not tried that , as the error messages have not indicated that the problem is with the driver..additionally the diagnostic checks confirm the driver is in place and working ...I may try the system restore option though and see if I can get back to where I was ...thanks anyway.
