Proxy server problems in IE6

Question

Hi there I have a problem conerning my internet connections in IE6   I have just installed a BT voyger ADSL wireles router to my system. this device is working perfectly but i cannot change the settings in IE6 connection menu. I have deselected use proxy server and selected Automaticaly detect my settings. Every time I reboot the system it automaticaly defaults to use proxy server Adress: localhost Port:2323 How can I perminatly disable the proxy server settings so that IE6 automaticaly detects my settings.   I have reinstalled IE6 and Removed XP service Pack 2  to no avale.   Best wishes   Xav Hipkin

Normally, I tell everyone to disable the "automatically detect" feature. It generally causes more trouble than it is worth. If you know that you are using a proxy server...manually configure it. If not, deselect it.
