A better option would be to get it with a internal MiniPCI wireless card. There is an option to order this on the Dell website - either the TM 1350 b/g wireless card or the TM 1400 a/b/g wireless card.
You really need to learn to use the Dell web site if you are going to be making any kind of intelligent decision on what you buy. If you go to the link you provided and click on the "Customize It" button. You will get a complete listing of what it is you are ordering for that price. The price will not change if you do not change anything in the customizable list. Without changing anything, page down through the web page and look at all the options. The ones that are checked, are the ones that come standard for the quoted price. Note that the option for an internal wireless card (the TM 1350) is checked for this price. If you page all the way to near the bottom, you will see under "Also Included with this System", that the integrated network card is included.
The more expensive one is the one that comes standard with an integrated wireless card, but I was wondering if this particular model also comes with a wired card?

I believe we're talking about a different notebook. I see that 2 products are called the Inspiron 1150, but one seems to be better than that other.
One is 999$ and the other s 1149$.
