re: freeze my user setting unplug?
Thanks, I have tried that and for approx. 45seconds at a time. It will not work. Any suggestions? I am able to use my husbands or sons user settings.

Which Dell system (model and number)?
Service Tag (white bar code)?
If a user is corrupted then you can create a new (different ID) one to replace it on the system. This requires administrator rights. Afterwards, the Administrator (permissions) can also copy all the old stuff (or do a Move) under "Documents and Settings" folder.
