Reinstalled Windows, Wireless card not working.

I reinstalled a clean version of XP on my Dell inspiron 6400/E1505. Afterwards I installed the drivers in the order that is suggested on the dell site, i used the drivers supplied by dell on the website for my model as it was shipped. Everything is working fine except the wireless card using the (Intel(R)Proset/Wirelss) software keeps searching for the networks in range and will find them, list them,  but they will only be on the screen for a split second (to fast to click one) and then it goes back into searching mode. I see my network and others on the list in the small amount of time so its ALMOST working. (I can supply links to the websites from dell I used to see the correct order and drivers if thats any help.)

Thank you for your help in advance.
