Reset DRAC 4 password

For some reason I can no longer log in any more - I keep getting

An error occurred when logging in. Verify that your username and password are correct.

even though I am certain the details are correct.

how can I reset the card to default settings and start again?

Thanks

I'm afraid not.  I tried it out in the lab and this is the only way that we could reset the DRAC without having to logon to it first.

The command that you are looking for is racadm racresetcfg.  Since you can not logon to the DRAC from remote I believe that the only way that you will be able to issue this command is from the command line of the server that the DRAC is installed in.  You will need to have OpenManage installed and the DRAC services installed from OM.

Thank you for that.

I was hoping that during the boot sequence it was possible to reset the card. Is that not possible?

Thank you. I will install OM and follow your instructions.

Thanks again.

So is this accurate?  We have to install an OS prior to resetting DRAC cards?
