restore down a page

I have a DELL DIMENSIONS 2350 and can not restore down my page. When I hit restore down it jumps but stays on maximize. Any help would be appreciated. It may be something very simple but not for a computer idiot.

This doesn't sound like a problem with Dimension networking, the topic of this forum, but rather a Windows problem.   Assuming this is happening in Internet Explorer and assuming that what you are trying to do is to use the icon in the upper right corner of your screen to switch between maximized window size and reduced window size, then try the following.  When the page in reduced size view (i.e. the maximize icon is not present in the upper right corner of the window, move the mouse cursor to one of the corners of the screen until a double headed arrow cursor shows.  Then hold down the left mouse button and drag the window to the size you want.  Close all other Internet Explorer Windows, the hold down the Cntrl key and click on the white X in the red square at the upper right to close the Window.  From now on, the reduced window size should be what you just set.

If this is not your problem or doesn't solve your problem, please post in the Software - Windows XP forum and try to provide a better explanation of what the problem is.
