RIS Precision 670 with Windows 2003 RIS server

I have been trying to RIS a Dell Precision 670 with a Windows 2003 RIS server, but have been running into problems. When I boot from the Internal Network Control the screen to intialize the RIS comes up as usual. When I complete this and try to continue to set up the partition for Windows XP, the computer hangs and the screen goes blank. I tried to update the driver for the NIC on the RIS server but this did not work either. I then installed a new network card, one that has been used with our setup before and worked, but this did the same thing. Does anyone have a clue on what to do with this?

Thanks

I am having the exact same problem with the newer dell precision 690's.  Were you able to figure out the exact cause and a fix for this?

I am having similar sounding problems.  As soon as you choose your image where RIS will normally give you the message "Waiting for Reboot" then "Setup is inspecting ylour computer's hardware..." the screen just goes blank and stays that way.    Without any kind of error message it makes really tough to troubleshoot.

I have messed around with setting up the mass Storage device in the .sif and in the txtsetup.oem without any luck.   Although I fully suspect I could be making a mistake there.

I am sure that its not simply a video issue, if you use the restoration CD it skips through that phase of the setup without any problems.
