Router configuration problems.....

I just got high speed internet access the other day and I tried to set up a router so I can get access on my laptop from my desktop. I have had the router for a couple years (Truemobile 2300) but this is the first time I've had the opportunity to use it.

Anyway, as I went to install it I kept getting a message at the end of the install saying that it can't be configured. Do you think I might need a new driver for this router since it's a couple years old? I asked my cable company but they were of no help at all. I really don't know what to do now - I'd like to be able to use this one rather than go buy another one.

You don't need to install any drivers or software to use the router.  Everything can be done from the web based configuration utility.   See the documentation:

Look under "Managing your router".
