router placement?

Any special considerations re router placement ... e.g., distance from flourescent fixture, monitor?

Up higher and in the clear from all obstructions ideally, but especially any metal or electrical things.  Also avoid microwave ovens, 2.4ghz wireless phones or other consumer wireless products.
