Running downloaded BIOS version A09 with battery level constantly at 6%
I am really really displeased with Dell's XPS M1530 laptop model which i bought in June 2008. I have been having a host of problems and quite recently my battery does not charge at all. I can only power the laptop via the AC Charger.
I looked through the online community suggestions and someone recommended that i download the BIOS A09 version software and when once i run it, it will solve the problem of my battery as well as computer freezing issues.
The problem is i cannot run the BIOS A09 version which i have downloaded because my battery charge level is less than 10%. How can i run the software then? Secondly, will that fix the problem.
Please please help me out as i am sooooooooo fed up. I am desperate for a solution. I do not see myself buying a dell product the rest of my lifetime.
Thanks very much!!!!

Your battery is over a year old and probably reached its end of life. I would suggest you buy another. Then you will be able to do your BIOS upgrade.
