'Runtime Error' messages - how to avoid?

Question

When I access certain websites (including parts of the Dell site) I get messages of the following type:   A run time error has occurred Do you wish to debug? Line 0   (line number varies from message to message) Error: 'Windows documentfrmDSNFeedback is null or not an object'  (Could be a lot of other messages, but they often end with 'is null or not an object'     Can anyone tell me where they are coming from (Javascript?), why they are happening, and how to stop them happening in future?  They are very annoying.   I read one knowledge-based article, but it seemed like a lot of work and no permanent solution - I hope the problem was different.

Open IE and go to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced Tab,  and check the 2 boxes labeled 'disable script debugging'    hit OK  Close all instances of IE and restart the program to take effect.

Hi,   I see that you get a windows script error on your computer. The reason for the issue could be with the windows scripting file getting old on your PC and mostly this would only cause because of spyware.   Regarding the script error we would download windows script engine 5.6 for XP and for Java errors you would be downloading the JVM 5.0 on your computer.   Install these patches and i'm sure this would fix the issue.   Feel free to revert back for any queries.   Regards,   Sandeep Gupta
