RV WiFi

I have a monthly contract with RV WiFi but have a low connection, often my e-mail is lost as the system times out before I get the message sent. Would an external anttenna help improve my connection? If so what would work with my Inspiron/9400 Laptop.

An external antenna will help - however with all the metal in an RV you would need some type of antenna for the exterior of the RV, rather than just an antenna that connects to the PC. 
 
I have "snowbird" friends here in Florida that have WiFi in their parks and they too have a lot of problems. 
 
Check around some RV shops and see if they have something for RV's.
