Screen Mirroring / Projection Not Working
I can longer project my Dell Inspiron 15 (Windows 8.1) onto my Samsung Smart TV. This feature had been working fine for the past 18 months. It abruptly stopped in the middle of a movie a couple weeks ago. I have checked all drivers and no luck. The TV recognizes my laptop and says “Connecting” when I try to project, but it then goes back to normal TV mode. The laptop says “Can’t Connect.” I even purchased a Microsoft Wireless Display Adaptor to try and bypass the issue. Again, my TV recognizes the adapter, but can’t connect. I am still able to mirror my cell phone to the TV without issue, which leads me to believe the problem rests with the Laptop. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello,
The only suggestion I can make, if you have updated all the video and wireless drivers on your laptop, is to try and roll Windows back to a restore point prior to the connection stopping to work.
I'm assuming, from what you wrote, that you're wireless connecting between the TV and the laptop. If so, is there a connection listed in the wireless listings on your system? Can you delete that connection and then try and rebuild it?
Let me know if the restore option works since that is the best idea I can think of right now.
