security issue

I was in a yahoo chat room and i was "booted out" ( to boot somebody in the yahoo chat term means to actually kick out the user from the chat room). Here is what happened, I got an instant message and i replied and after that some IM applets started to populate my screen in rapid phase---hundreds of them! Then i got a message something like a computer is trying to access my yahoo program file im my own computer!!!! i click "no" to deny the access. I have McAfee personal firewall. How can i defend myself from such attack? Pls help me!!!

it doesn't matter in yahoo chat rooms its up to the moderator of them to decided to kick you, somebody must have been affended by what you said and decided to report you you have to wait the time and then log back in when they say it is ok

there was nothing of that sort. I think the main issue has not been answered.  for those who know how could this be prevented pls advise. are we safe in the chat room? that is the main issue here. users claim that there are "snipers" out there in the rooms booting people in random. no moderator has been identified in the chat room i went in. Yahoo Messenger IS NOT SAFE! I already Uninstalled
the program.
