Security settings

The past few months I've been battling my PC, whenever I try to download software or update software through the internet I get a window pop up with a security message:  security settings do not allow me to download. I've checked my firewall. I even disabled the McAfee firewall (not the problem). Can some one please help me. Thank you. I'm running Windows XP

If you have Internet Explorer 7 go to Tools>Internet Options>Click on the "Security" tab>Select "Internet">Clcik on Reset all zones to defaults. This should fix you're Security problems, as they are restoring to default.

check to see if your firewall is restricting downloads
