self register error

Question

Just bought a few dimension 3000's, i tried loading some software off the network and i've gotten a message that cscmd32.ocx and cstext32.ocx failed to  register what can i do to correct that?

I don't really see how this is related to problems with Dimension Networks, the topic of this forum, and you don't say which program you are trying to install, information that would give us some hint as to what is going on. Nevertheless, see if the following discussion Here

There are apparently problems with getting some versions of those two files to register after XP Service Pack 2 is installed. Since they're distributed as part of several larger packages, you might want to see if the software package vendor has resolved the problem.

Check the link I posted above again. I corrected a typo. I noticed that you also posted your message in the Software Windows ME forum. Of course knowing which version of Windows you are running is essential to finding the correct solution to your problem, so the link may not help if you really are running Windows ME. Have you tried asking the software maker why you are getting this error?
