Siemans router/Hp deskjet

System is a Dim 8300 running XP Home/the siemans 2624 is connected to the desktop thru one of the lan ports and the deskjet is connected to the siemans thru the parallel port that is on the back of the wireless router.  Cannot get it to print, was working two days ago, wireless client will print from it just fine.  Cannot setup a workgroup between the two systems wireless client is on a domain at work and can't be changed.  Also noticed that in network connections there are two entries for a local connection as well as in dm.

I also have a Siemens SpeedStream 2624 router, with 4 ethernet ports (2 occupied), wireless access and print server. I have a Canon 850 hooked to the parallel printer port of the 2624. I have a Dell Truemobile 1150 PCMCIA card in a HP ZE1250 laptop.

When I've had printing problems, there seemed to be three solutions:

1. Make sure 2 way communications is TURNED OFF in the printer set up.

2. Reset the 2624 by UNPLUGGING power for 30 seconds, then powering back up.

3. Make sure printer is TURNED ON. I had to put the Canon 850 on a separate power circuit, from the computer and router, since it does not automatically re-start when power is turned back on. If the printer is turned off, the 2624 will give an error message when you try to print.
