Hi Stee - R4 ALX,

It could be annoying when the Internet connection works slower than the speed of the connection. I suggest you to update the wireless drivers of the computer and check if it speed increases. You can download the latest drivers for the wireless card by punching in the Service Tag by visiting the following link:

Please reply to this message with the system model number (E.g. XPS 15z) and the version of Windows (E.g. Windows 7 64-bit) if you need further assistance with this issue.

I was trying changing my MTU settings to fix this problem. How do I change my MTU on my computer back to the default 1500. I cant get on to certain websites or store / community and news pages on my game apps like Steam and Origin. If I change the mtu setting on my router I can view sites and store/community/news pages but I dont have the full speed of my connection. like something is blocking it

Hi Stee - R4 ALX,

Thank you for your reply. Please follow the steps provided below to change the MTU:

1. Open a command line window as an Administrator (ie. right click on All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt and select Run as administrator) ...
2. Type the command netsh and wait for prompt
3. Type the command interface and wait for prompt
4. Type the command ipv4 and wait for prompt
5. Type the command set subinterface "Local Area Connection" mtu=xxxx store=persistent .
6. Replace xxxx with the value of MTU that you would like to set.

Thank you I managed to set my MTU settings back to default but, Im still stuck with slow speeds Is there anything I could do in Windows settings that might fix this prolem. something seems to be messing with my bandwith
