Slow Internet Browsing / Losing Packets on Ping

Question

Hi all   My system is as follows: XPS M1530, T8100, 2gb RAM, 320gb hard disk with the Intel Wireless WiFi 4965AGN built in. The WiFi is using the 11.5.0.32 driver. I connect to a wireless router/DSL modem for my internet connection at home. I am using Vista Home Premium.   I am experiencing slow internet browsing intermittently (ever few seconds or so). This is VERY annoying. I tried running the 'ping google.com -t' from the command prompt and 'ping 192.168.1.254 -t' (192.168.1.254 being the address of the router) and experience a number of successful replies, but also a number of 'Request Timed Out'. The packet loss is approx 20% of total pings.   There are two other computers on the network, one wired and one wireless. Neither have this problem (and have no lost packets on the ping command). Internet browsing on these machines is super fast with no issues as with the XPS M1530.   Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is causing this problem? Many thanks for all your help!Elliot

Just downloaded the new drivers from INTEL website (11.5.1.15) and this seems to fix things! Why this is not available on the Dell website I don't know.
