Sonic IQ Bluetooth receiver won't pair

My XPS 8900 with Win10 won't pair with my Sonic IQ Bluetooth receiver.  The PC pairs with Moto G Android phone and Acer Android tablet, and the two Android devices pair with the Sonic IQ, as does my HP G60 laptop with Ubuntu Linux 14.04.

In Device Manager, the entry for Dell Wireless 1801 Bluetooth 4.0 LE, shows the following information on the events tab:

"Device USB\VID_0BDA&PID_B739\00e04c000001 requires further installation."

After reinstalling the Bluetooth Driver, the Reliability Monitor showed the following two informational events titled "Not Supported Bluetooth Function":

"Driver Management concluded the process to install driver bthvirtual.inf_amd64_0e81f0728d71d8ca\bthvirtual.inf for Device Instance ID BTHENUM\{0000112F-0000-1000-8000-00805F9B34FB}_LOCALMFG&005D\7&18A547A5&0&24DA9B77BA51_C00000000 with the following status: 0x0."

I had one success in pairing a couple of weeks ago, but while I could select the speakers attached and they appeared to be playing in the volume control, there was no sound.  After removing the device, I have been unable to pair again.  Here are the events associated with that semi-successful experience:
