Source user account
In trying to network my new laptop with my desktop, I got into an error log. I found that for at least the last month I have been getting the three errors covered in Microsoft bulletin 941339: ID 1511 -"Windows cannot find the local profile....", ID 1512 - "Windows cannot load the locally stored profile...", and 1518 - "Windows was unable to load the registry..." I suspect this happened when AT&T set up our cable TV and internet wireless. The workaround is 1) Edit the registry - which I wouldn't dare try - and 2) "Delete the source user account."
I do not know what the source user account is. Do I go to start, control panel and user account and delete this person? I am the only user/administrator and I understand I have to create a new account as administrator in order the delete the old one.
The explanation of "third-party migration tool to perform an intraforest migration" doesn't exactly help! (What forest??!)
