Speakerphone Software
Hey all,
I posted this in "Other Software", too, but perhaps I'll get a response here. I would like to use the speakerphone capabilities of my modem (Conextant HFS V92 56k RTAD Speakerphone PCI Modem), nut have never been able to get th BVRP software to work. It does not even recognize my modem as speakerphone capable..
Any recommendations as to some other programs that perhaps are better, or that actually work would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for visiting the Dell Community Forum.
The BVRP PhoneTools speaker phone should work with your modem. If you have not already tried, you may want to do the following: From Add/Remove Programs, uninstall any modem software and the BVRP PhoneTools. Remove any modems listed in the Device Manager and Phone and Modem Options (in Control Panel). Then reinstall the modem drivers and PhoneTools software. You can find information on install the modem and PhoneTools software in the following Dell Knowledge Base article:

Hey Stephen,
I've tried your suggestion with no success. This is the message I got when I clicked on your link to BVRP.
The RPC server is unavailable Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a0400'

Looks like there is something wrong with that web address. Try going to www.modemhelp.com, click on the Contact link and then under Technical Support pick the option for “PhoneTools Dell”. This should take you to BVRP’s support page for the PhoneTools installed on your Dell.

Hey Stephen,
Thanks for the help. Did a SECOND uninstall/reinstall just to see if I missed something the first time. Don't know whether I did, or not, but it's a moot point. This time when I loaded up the program, IT WORKED. Go figure, eh?
Anyway, thanks for your input. I wasn't having any luck in finding replacement software,.
(Actually, yours was the ONLY response I got, and I posted on several different forums.)
