SPOOLSV.EXE Application Error

I am now on the final bit of setting up a Home network. I have managed to set up a peer-peer wireless LAN (802.11g) between two desktop PCs (both running XP Home SP1). The first PC is connected to the internet via Broadband modem and router (Dell 8300, 3.2Mhz).   I do have wireless internet working between the machines. When I run the Network Setup Wizard (to share files and printers) it all goes well until just before it finishes and a SPOOLSV.EXE Application Error is reported and then the set up looks like it is finishing (pretending to finish) off but no Home Office Lan is evident thereafter. I assume that because of this error that the set up aborts.
Any clues anybody?

Check in services and see if print spooler is on automatic and started. This is used in networking.  Mine is set up that way.
