I can't offer any help on this but I will agree that sprint has been getting real bad in their support. I also read where they fired 1000 customers because they complained too much (can you believe that). I will be leaving sprint wireless after 7 years to go to AT&T because Sprint really doesn't care about their customers any more.
I just bought the card from dell, called sprint and setup an account. Sprint sent me the Pantech card for free.
Then once everything arrived I called their activation center and told them I didnt want to use the Pantech card and had my own novatel card (what the dell card is IIRC) that I wanted to use. She just erased the other card, inputted my new ESN from the internal card, and it was up and running.
Now I just gotta figure out if I can get the GPS features of the novatel card to work in my D420, I dont see why it would only work on "select" latitudes.
