Strong Wireless Signal, Poor Connectivity

Hey all - the forums here are great! I hope that someone knows what this problem might be.

I have a 9100 Inspiron with the wireless a/b/g card.

Now, at work, we have a 'b' connection. Everything links up, speed and response are as expected,
all day. At home, we have a 'g' router. Laptop again, links up, 54Mbs, great. But, going online in
any browser, Explorer, Opera, etc., takes about 20 seconds before the page comes up.
It's almost like there's a bottleneck between the wireless laptop and the router.

I've changed channels, to no avail. The wired system connects without issue. And since the laptop
works great on all other 'b' networks, it leads me to believe it's the 'g' wireless card.

Any help appreciated to speed up these connection times.

I'm having the same problem with my 5100(among other problems with the fan heh) and i have the DELL - TrueMobile 1300 WLAN Mini PCI Card. I have great connection but it takes a while for it to load things. But when I use the SAME exact card in my girlfriends 8600, it works perfectly. Any help? Thanks

Both of you make sure you are using the latest driver, and the latest firmware on the router.
