Switching from wired to wireless connection
After installing the wireless modem, i tried to switch to wireless. It worked for a while then my internet disconnected. The error message is "connected but with limited access".
I called the ISP who advise that I must switch to wireless on my laptop. How do I do that? I am having an Inspirion 1420.

Please post the results on an ipconfig /all.
Is the router in a good location for broadcasting?

Thanks all for the answers. The problem seems to be resolved after i did the ipconfig /release and then ipconfig / renew.
Now I am on wireless. :smileyvery-happy:

hi, i'm having dell inspiron 5100. previously i have installed xp sp1, today i have upgraded to xp sp2, after upgradation wireless network is disconnecting while connected to net frequently, say for every 15min. what steps should i do. even i have done reinstallation of drivers.
