Systen Standby and Internet connectivity
When I resume from Standby/Hibernate, I cannot immediately connect to the Internet. I have "Alaways On" Cable Highspeed internet. Anyway, it takes a few minutes before I can then launch the internet. This seems to be a newer issue. By the way, I have adjusted my Power Options in XP (through Control Panel) to "never" on all of them.

Did you adjust it to Never go on Standby and Never go into Hibernate mode? These modes do not work well on desktop computers as the components (hardware and drivers) are not given the same care as they are on laptops where these modes are critical for battery life. There is no need to put a desktop computer (I'm assuming that is what you have because you are posting the Dimension [desktop] forum) into standby or hibernate modes.

Yes, never on both of those.
I had been using Standby for quicker access to the net (as opposed to waiting on a reboot). I usually only turn it off at night or when I'm at work. I just can't figure out why this is happening now. I never used to have a problem.

As I stated in my last reply, hibernate and standby modes have problems on desktop computers. This is well documentated in several hundred messages on these forums. If you want to save power and have quick access to your desktop computer, set the power saving modes to trun off your monitor and hard drive after a specified perios of time rather than use standby and hibernate. You may be able to get standby and hibernate to work if you can find the correct combination of hardware and hardware device drivers, but you are likely to spend the next 1000 hours or so trying to find a combination that works.

OK, thanks. Maybe I'll change those settings.
It won't go into Standby if I'm playing a game, will it? Only when the mouse or keyboard is truly idle?
