Texas Instruments PCI-4510 CardBus Controller

I see this device in my device manager under "PCMCIA adapters." What does this do? Can I go on the internet wirelessly with this thing?

I was thinking about buying a Linksys wireless notebook card but was thinking it might be redundant if I already have one pre-installed or whatever.
