The Best Wireless Router

Thanks for your answer, actually I finaly noticed that someone had the same problem, same advice from you. I called Dell in order to replace it for I am still under warranty, but as the 2350 is apparently not one of this forum’s favourites, which wireless router should I try to replace with?

What about this one ?
NETGEAR WGT624 108 Mbps Wireless Firewall Router

Or this one ?

I am located in France, so I do not know if those ones are available here…

Thanks for all,

Matt

Linksys, Netgear, and D-Link offer similar models for the overseas markets.

I'd normally say linksys for the hacked /opensource firmware upgrades that are available -- but I'm not sure they'd work with the version for your country.

I can only speak for Italy and Germany, but the same routers that works in the states, are sold over here in the PX's and used on the economy.

Linksys appeared to me as a good brand. However, the choice of the product remains within their range.

What do you think of Mimo ?

Should I wait for the 802.11n ?

In the reviews I noticed the Netgear WPN824, the design is really nice and it seems to be quite effective.

Cheers,

Matt

Unless you absolutely need to increased speed and range that MIMO offers (and some people do), then I would avoid it until there is at least an 802.11n draft standard in place.  Otherwise, you run the risk of the equipment you buy not being compatible with future 802.11n products.
