"the page cannot be displayed
When I am on the internet, within a web site, I cannot click into another web site that was listed without the error message coming on that says "the page cannot be displayed" . Would my connections need to be changed or what? Thanks for any help.

It is always helpful to include your model computer and the operating system it's running on, in your posts...
Is your system running any software firewalls?(Norton Internet Security, McAfee, Zone Alarm, etc.)

thank you for your reply. Here is the additional information:
I have a Dimension 9100 computer. Brand new and I love it. It runs on the XP media system.
I have the Mcafee system.

My guess would be that the McAfee software firewall needs to be configured to accept internet and network traffic.
Most factory installed Programs should have a user guide on the system. Follow the configuration instructions from there.
There is also a software firewall within the Windows operating system, the two may be conflicting each other...
