There Is No Supported Modem Installed

I had to reinstall BCM. V92 56K, Modem on Hold and Modem Helper with the disk that came with my pc last Aug.

Now when it rings the popup doesn't show up to click 'answer'.

When I click on the file in Control Panel it says..."There is no supported modem Installed."

Device Mgr. says modem is running properly.

All my virus scans come clean.

I've still 83% of my space free.

I 'have' gotten a popup in installation saying I was missing a file but it 'is' there...I've seen it:)  BCMSM168.dll

Any ideas would be appreciated.    jennifer

What driver are you using? If you are using 3.5.24 or 3.5.25, you must use the Modem on Hold feature built into the driver (not the Dell Modem on Hold software)

If your driver is earlier than 3.5.24, you need to be using the Dell (BVRP) Modem on Hold Software.

Morning...yes, that is the driver.  Thank you, I will check on it.  I thought something was different when a 'modem on hold' appeared on my control panel that had never been there before.  Thanks  again....jennifer
