Check Control Panel->Internet Options->Connections Tab-> Lan Settings Button. Make sure Automatically detect settings is the only check mark. Close all browsers and try again. You can also click the link below for information on resolving wifi issues.
I had tried that option before. I ended up just taking my computer to a store for help. I guess one of my softwares was blocking the internet connection. Still don't fully understand why as I haven't changed any software over the years and this internet error randomly happens and then usually goes back to normal after a day or two. In any case, it is fixed for the time being. Thank you for your response.
