Unable to dtect wireless networks

Question

Hi,   I have an Inspiron 6000 with a with a 802.11 b/g network adapter card. Until recently, my wireless connection used to work fine, and one day, I disabled a few services on my laptop, trying to block/disable the wireless connections ( as I didnot have any at that time).   Now, when I have a wireless connection again, my laptop is unable to detect any networks. I again started the net services and have done all the settings as previously, but still it is unable to locate any networks. Possibly I have missed out on something. Can any one please suggest what all is to be done to make it work again.   Thanks in Advance, Nitin

Is your wireless radio turned on?  The Fn F2 key combination toggles the radio on and off.   Steve
