Unable to fully access internet
Recently I have been unable to open everyday internet sites from my home computer, including hotmail, yahoo, facebook, and even the Dell and Microsoft websites. Most other sites work as usual, its just the more common ones that are not working. During this time I have been getting notices from McAfee of various trojan horses found on my computer that it has been deleting, and occasionally internet windows will open for no reason, but with a 404 error and the link is just an address code. Is there a new virus out there that targets access to certain sites on the internet? Or is something else causing the problem?

It sounds like your system has been infected and not totally cleaned. It could require a reinstall of the OS
But before you do that go to the Software HijackThis board read the FAQ at the top on how to run and post a HijackThis log..
Let the pros overthere check out your log and follow the steps they recommend..99% of the time they can get you up and running without the need to reinstall..but that still is something that you might need to consider...
