Unable to renew IP address.
My son has a B-130 laptop which is wireless. He is trying to hook-up with a D-Link router. He has an excellent signal strength and it shows connected. When he goes to try and repair it, it comes back with the message that it is unable to renew the IP address. Any ideas? Thanks

Is MAC address filtering enabled on the router?

I don't know anything about it and I don't think he does either.

You don't need an install CD. You can log into the router from a web browser on a computer that is connected to the router by ethernet. If you go to the D-Link web site, you can probably find a manual for the router and figure it out from there. Can any other computers connect to the router through wireless?

Is this your own D-Link router or someone else's? Who set up the router?
