unable to turn wireless on
I am using a inspron 1200 trying to use my linksys wireless adapter but even though my computer shows that my wireless is on, it is not. linksys says fn f2 should work but doesnt. dell said using a linksys card on a dell computer fn f2 does not work to contact linksys. i still have gotten nowhere. i am really computer illiterate......please help...i have no clue what i am doing. i just know i dont want to have to sit here hooked up to these dsl cords to use my internet. thanks,

What happens when you go to the "tray" (lower right) and "Show available wireless networks"
It is important whether you are managing the PC card wireless through Windows or through the proprietary software.
My experience with PC card wireless is that it is already turned on; however, there are other considerations such as those above.
