Unidentified network and no internet access

Hi

I am hoping someone can help me.

I have a Dell Studio 1555 bought 2 years ago and I have been having network problems just recently.

When I try to connect to my wireless, the laptop shows that it is connected to the wireless but shows up as "unidentified network and no internet access".  I have since tried a USB wireless adapter and that works fine so it would seem that it is something to do with the inbuilt wireless adapter.  Is it possible for it to stop working so suddenly? I have an Intel (R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN.

Could someone kindly shed some light onto this for me?

Thanks in advance,

Shigz

See it happens at times the drivers for internal wireless adapters get corrupted so the best it so go ahead open device manager and then try to uninstall and reinstall the wireless card

Hi HCLTOUCH,

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply to my query - can you please let me know how I go about doing this?
